Nintendo 3DS to cost between £200 and £250?

Speculation has been fired up concerning the price of the Nintendo 3DS, after online retailer The Hut had posted up a price for the handheld.
An article on MCV states that the retailer priced the 3DS at £300 when it first put the device up for pre-order. However, it now seems to have removed that price, and just has a pre-order deposit (of £3) in place now.
The £300 figure would certainly seem to be a mere placeholder price, particularly seeing as it has now been removed. According to MCV’s sources, the 3DS is expected to cost between £200 and £230, which seems about right to us.
Although it could be somewhat more than this mark, with Nintendo perhaps taking a gamble that the novelty of glasses-free 3D gaming will ensure sales at a slightly higher price point. Perhaps towards the £250 mark, we shall have to see.
MCV also reckons the release date will be late March, the 25th to be precise, although The Hut has it down as the 18th.

Nintendo Not On Floor at CES

Company will just have meetings there.

While Nintendo will be at CES next year, it won't be available for most people to see.

The Consumer Electronics Association said today that Nintendo won't have any type of representation on the show floor. Instead, the company will be hosting small meetings in conference rooms during the event.

So, is this really better than not coming to the show at all for the 17th year in a row?
